What do we want to achieve at fleXality?

We all have a mission: we want to enable a sustainable energy transition through the intelligent use of industrial flexibility as the most resource-efficient energy storage system. Using existing infrastructure and leveraging economic and ecological benefits for customers – that is our goal:

What are we currently doing?

We are constantly developing our software. The focus is currently on optimizing our application and extending it for other use cases.

Our development team relies on C# and Python, among others. From front-end design to optimization algorithms and machine learning – the areas of responsibility on the “product side” are wide-ranging.

Our colleagues on the “business side” talk to many customers from the frozen food industry and coldstore logistics. From marketing and sales to project implementation and coordination with partners – there is also a lot to do here.

Thanks to our common goal, a close exchange and mutual understanding, we are able to coordinate both sides well. But everyone can also get involved internally; we are a young team with a lot of creative drive.

What does our daily routine look like?

As a 100% remote team, we work from home or wherever we want. In the real world, we are currently mainly based in northern Germany.

How do we manage to work together as a remote team? We have a few tools and methods that help us do this. For example, we briefly exchange information every day to find out how everyone is doing and whether there are any problems or questions.

It’s important to us how our team members are doing!

Of course, working remotely is still a challenge. We work with Microsoft Teams and the other solutions from the Microsoft world. Everyone is just a click away and video telephony gives us some proximity. Our regular online game nights help too – and are great fun!

However, we find that a face-to-face meeting always achieves more and see each other every 1-2 months for team meetings at different locations. We usually combine a work session with an event. We use the offline meetings to get to know each other personally, have fun and work on projects together.

We believe that working remotely has many advantages, such as more flexibility, less stress and more creativity. But we are also always open to new ideas and feedback on how we can make our team even better.
