Energie Monitoring and Reporting for industrial sites.

Keep track of consumption, costs, load profiles and anomalies in a single, integrated system – across all systems, metering points and sites.

With the fEnOMS™ Monitor, you can gain insight into energy flows, key performance indicators and trends – providing a basis for better operational decisions.

It's not enough to have Controlling analyze the energy bill.

Many companies already have measurement data, but lack a unified view of their energy consumption, costs and anomalies. This is precisely where an energy monitoring system comes in: it makes data usable for day-to-day operations, for reports and for better decision-making.

You’ll be familiar with this: it’s the end of the month and you receive the analysis of your electricity costs, perhaps broken down by cost centre or even by individual appliances. But you don’t know the reasons behind the figures, and by then it’s too late to take any action.

But what about receiving analyses at shorter intervals? There are simply too many challenges involved…

What are your actual energy consumption figures and costs?

Consumption figures and costs are spread across several systems.

Meter data, plant data and cost information are often stored in different tools or spreadsheets. This means it is difficult to get a quick overview of the whole picture. Decisions take longer to make and relevant connections remain hidden.

Do you only realize there have been peak loads and increased consumption only once the costs have already been incurred?

Significant load peaks or increases in consumption are detected too late.

Without ongoing monitoring, unusual developments often only become apparent in hindsight. By then, the critical window of opportunity has already passed. Valuable opportunities to take swift countermeasures are lost.

Does your reporting take up too much of your time on a day-to-day basis?

Producing reports for internal analysis or energy management involves too much manual work.

Data has to be collated from several sources, processed and checked manually. This ties up resources in the technical, energy management and controlling departments. At the same time, the timeliness of the analyses suffers.

Can you really compare sites and meters in a meaningful way?

It is difficult to compare multiple sites or meters.

Without a standardised database, you end up with lots of individual snapshots but no reliable comparison. Differences between sites, areas or measurement points remain difficult to grasp. As a result, potential improvements and anomalies take longer to become apparent.

Do you lack an overall view of PV, BESS and other energy sources?

PV, BESS and other energy sources are not visible in a single, integrated view.

Self-generation, storage and consumption data are often considered separately. As a result, it remains unclear how the systems actually interact. Yet it is precisely this transparency that is crucial for evaluation, reporting and subsequent optimisation.

Do you lack the confidence in your day-to-day work to address any issues in good time?

Significant deviations can easily get lost in the day-to-day running of the business.

If indications of unusual consumption or critical developments are not presented in a structured way, the team often reacts too late. As a result, monitoring generates a wealth of data, but does not yet provide an effective impetus for action.

The key functions for ongoing energy management.

fEnOMS™ not only helps you monitor energy consumption, but also supports you in its ongoing analysis. Reports, key performance indicators and anomalies are presented in a structured manner, ensuring that relevant operational developments are identified in real time rather than only retrospectively.

This is how the connection works.

The system consolidates measurement data from smart meters, sub-metering, plant control systems and other sources into a single, unified interface. This enables the generation of transparent analyses of consumption, output, costs and trends over time. We use standard components and standard protocols.

Do you have any further questions about our monitoring system?

You may have some of these questions. If yours isn’t listed here, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’ll be happy to help.

What measurement data can be integrated?

Is it possible to compare several locations?

Yes, this is possible using the site hierarchy configuration. You can compare all measurement series in the system with one another.

Is the system only suitable for refrigeration systems?

No, even though we are known as experts in refrigeration systems, we can analyse all systems equipped with control units and even fit them with additional sensors to gather information where none is currently available.

Can PV and BESS data be integrated?

Yes, that is also possible. We integrate PV systems via park controllers or the manufacturers’ portals. Battery storage systems generally pose no problem thanks to their control systems. Almost all manufacturers support Modbus TCP/RTU or OPC UA. Basic EMS systems are often supplied with the BESS, and communication can be established via an API.

Does the system support reporting for energy management processes?

Yes, we offer pre-configured views and the option to customise views to suit your own needs. These range from energy metrics (EnPI) such as energy consumption, load profiles or specific consumption figures, right through to baselines, weather-adjusted consumption figures and savings.

Our BAFA-certified system goes even further, offering load and flexibility reporting, deviation analyses, BESS performance evaluations and use-case reports.

How much work does the implementation involve?

Ideally, we will also integrate our own control system into your network as a so-called edge device. Your IT department must enable access, and your system integrator must implement the processing of our control signals.

From our side, everything can in principle be completed within a few days. Ultimately, however, such an implementation is a small project and, as a rule, takes around 2–3 months to complete.

Would you like to see your consumption, costs and any anomalies all in one place?

With fEnOMS™, you gain a unified view of your energy data — for ongoing monitoring, reporting and a rapid response to anomalies. Together, we’ll look at which configuration best suits your site, your measurement points and your requirements.
