Plant schedules with fleXcool™

Ready for intelligent electricity cost optimization?

With fleXcool™, you can reduce your electricity costs and CO2 emissions individually and fully automatically thanks to our algorithms and AI.

We have developed a solution specifically for cold storage warehouses that identifies and analyzes your savings potential and maximizes it with current electricity price information and weather data.

Use the “energy flexibilization” method to make your cold storage facility an intelligent contribution to the energy transition – and reduce your budget at the same time!

Energy flexibilization enables significant reductions in electricity costs and CO2 emissions. assiv zu senken. It makes your cold store operation more competitive and meets customer requirements to demonstrably reduce the CO2 footprint of your products.

What does fleXcool™ do?

The fleXality algorithm helps cold storage warehouses worldwide to achieve practical solutions without bureaucratic effort. fleXality creates a digital twin of your business and provides you with detailed information about your cost and CO2 savings.

The following steps are required:

  1. Data is uploaded to our cloud via a gateway in your plant control system using a secure protocol.
  2. Your data is used to forecast cooling and energy demand, and various other information (in particular electricity market information and weather forecasts) is processed in an optimization model with physical and process parameters.
  3. We calculate an optimized plant schedule with your individual constraints.
  4. This new schedule is automatically written back to the control system of your refrigeration system via a secure interface.

The round trip of the data is complete, your Plant runs with the fleXcool™ schedule – and you save electricity costs and CO2!

Why is this approach so promising?

Optimizing energy costs is a key issue for industry and commerce. Like energy efficiency, energy flexibility is an important element but also a bottleneck for the success of the energy transition. To realize this potential, millions of companies need to implement energy flexibility. Refrigeration systems have an important role to play.

A winning combination: your business becomes more competitive while meeting customer and regulatory demands to reduce the carbon footprint of your products!

Using this method, we help you to significantly reduce your energy costs and give you access to new and additional sources of income. Your CO2 emissions are also reduced, as the electricity is cheap if it is generated by renewable energies. It therefore makes your cold storage warehouse more competitive and meets customer demands for a proven reduction in carbon footprint of your products.

Last but not least, you and your business will become an important part of the energy transition! Experts consider energy flexibilitization to be the key to the energy transition: it is the Gold Standard.

What exactly is energy flexibilization?

Basically, energy flexibility is the ability of a system to adapt its energy supply to changing conditions, such as volatile energy prices or regulatory changes.

For large industrial consumers, this means that they need to be able to organise their electricity consumption flexibly in order to respond to fluctuations in the electricity grid caused by the increasing integration of renewable energy.

Energy flexibility is a key factor in actively contributing to the stabilisation of the electricity grid, while benefiting from cost and CO2 savings.

To achieve energy flexibilitization, industrial consumers need several elements:

  • Load control technologies,
  • Data models to describe energy flexibilitization,
  • IT infrastructure to communicate and automate the marketing of energy flexibilitization.

The prerequisite is a regulatory framework that supports and encourages such flexibilitization.
